January 21ST: New Year event at the Polish Embassy. Presentatation of Swietokrzyskie region

Swietokrzyskie is top of the league in terms of gypsum rock mining output, gypsum binder, brimstone, production of lime, cement and regular broken mineral aggregate. Important for the region is metallurgy, machine and precision industries, particularly in areas of manufacturing casts, pipes, fittings, rolling ball bearings and central heating boilers. Also Steel and foundry products are made here. A significant role is played by the food industry: meat, dairy, milling, confectionery and greengrocery industries. Moreover, the printing industry and press distribution services play an important part in the economy.

March 21st:   BEPOLUX AWARDS BEST BELGIAN COMPANY IN POLAND

ELD ARCHITECTS was awarded the Bepolux prize in the category “SERVICE PROVIDERS”:  

ELD with its creative skills has truly contributed to reshape the architectural landscape in Poland with an important valorization of local Polish architectural know how.  ELD’s Polish-Belgian platform has created a fixed line of exchange, very much alike the ideals shared by BEPOLUX members.

ANG  / LIGNA BEST BELGIAN COMPANY IN POLAND IN THE CATEGORY “MEDIUM SIZED COMPANIES”:

ANG has set up his Polish subsidiary company, LIGNA Sp z o.o. in Olkusz, from scratch in 1994, and produces a wide range of metal containers for waste collection and recycling.  The high quality of the products meets the requirements of the export market. 

ANG’s introduced significant technological innovation and know how to Poland and contributed to the modernization to the polish industry, and thereby contributed to Polish global economy.

Ambassadors prize  “POLISH ECONOMIC EAGLE” to LA LORRAINE BAKERY GROUP

The decision to make La Lorraine Bakery group the winner of the first Polish Economic Eagle has been motivated by the clear growth strategy and ambition of the company on the Polish market with recently new investments in Lublin. 

18th – 19th April 2018: “3Revolution: Reduce – Reuse - Recover “

Bepolux participated in a Study Visit to Brussels organized by Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the EU.  The purpose of this study visit was to present the Programs of the EU. A panel discussed the role of Circular Economy in the European R&D&I policies and opportunities for Polish stakeholders.

The program also covered an Introduction of the Polish strategy for Circular Economy from the governmental and industrial perspective, and a presentation of the industrial cooperation window under H2020 recommended by EC authorities. Comments were given on the EU added value of European thematic initiatives (associations) in the research and development domain.

October 24th 2018 at 12.00 p.m.: THE MONETARY POLICY IN POLAND

Presentation by Mariusz Kapuscinski, Senior economist of BGZ BNP Paribas, on inflation, interest rates and economic development in Poland.

This event was organized in cooperation with “East Poland House”, presenting the investment incentives and opportunities in East Poland. Representatives of East Poland regions made presentations on Special Economic Zones, Startup Scene in East Poland Regions and Infrastructure: Roads, Railways, and Airports. The presentations were supported by a testimonial of a Belgian investor in the region: Mr. M. Peeters, CEO of Prefab Veranda spzoo.

Advisory and business facilitation:

The chamber received a number of demands from members and non-members for advice on export,  investment issues and business partner search. With the support of its network of experts in Belgium and Poland these demands could be successfully answered.
